New projects I have planned for my Land Rover Defender is to replace both front doors. My Landi is 20 years old and the doors have taken their toll. Problem with Land Rover Defender doors is that they are aluminum skin. but steel fram and it’s the frame that is prone to rusting, especially if you use your landi off road and get lots of wet mud sprayed up.
To get my Land Rover Parts I will shop around. The best option will be to probably by second hand.
The other big job for the winter is cleaning the underside and painting. If I do this right I will get another 20 years out of her!
Just spent the afternoon changing the brake shoes in my Defender hand brake, while I was there and had the propshaft off I replaced the rear diff seal. Really easy job and all wnet well. needed one or two Land Rover parts, so again had to buy from the UK!
